Gallery is a free utility that houses all of your photos and videos. Users can organize their media into albums, view photo details, and apply minimal edits. However, seeing as there’s not much that separates it from the built-in gallery app on your device, it doesn’t really stand out.

A basic choice
Gallery has all of the typical features you’d find in a photo album application. Its only advanced features include applying locks on certain media and applying one of three themes onto the app’s interface. Other than these, though, the app falls flat when compared to utilities like Google Photos.
The app doesn’t have any unique features that can set it apart from its industry-standard counterparts. Furthermore, this tool frequently runs into issues where it will not display full images and can run into pop-ups from your device alerting you that the app cannot be trusted.

Overall, the Gallery app does what it says it can do, however, you’re much better off sticking with the built-in photos app on your device. While it does offer some additional features like photo locking and customization, these can also be achieved with other similar apps with fewer issues.
